Process Mining - Tips and Things to Know

Language: the visual's buttons and menus are always in English, but numbers, dates, and durations will automatically match your report's regional format for these languages/regions: English (US), English (UK), German (Germany), Finnish (Finland), and Swedish (Sweden). Any other regional setting will display in the English (US) number/date style.

Sampling: if you're exploring a very large dataset, enter a number into the Sample box (top info bar) to work with a random subset of cases, use the ↺ button to draw a new random sample at any time. Leave it blank to always use all cases.

Dense diagrams: if a process has many similar-volume transitions, some arrow labels may be omitted to avoid clutter, the underlying data and Insights numbers are unaffected.

Reference/conformance models are built manually by you based on your process knowledge, the visual does not automatically infer what the "correct" process should be.

Empty or missing values in your Activity or attribute columns are shown as "(Blank)" rather than left invisible.
